Can We Really Do It Without Links?

When you spend a long time talking about links in Google and their impact, there is always someone in Telegram who will write: «No, but seriously, can I do it without links? Just populating content, like I’m used to doing in the Russian web for Yandex. And everything will grow.»

The answer is simple—you can, but with a built-up domain link authority. Then, even without direct links, certain pages will reach top rankings anyway. Key phrase: certain pages. Meaning competitive pages simply won’t rank or will bring in low-frequency traffic and sales once every 1–2 months.

Competitive means that everyone in the top results starts building links to individual internal pages in addition to boosting domain authority, and then the chance that your page will get by solely on domain link weight isn’t that high.

The screenshot shows an example of populating content without links. I didn’t use links on it at all. Also, earlier on the channel, I shared how a page was seemingly not in the top results, yet a $55 commission still rolled in from it. Here is that post.

But if your domain’s link authority isn’t built up, that trick won’t work, and the odds drop drastically that such a page will gather even low-frequency traffic.

How do you build up domain link authority to know for sure that it can fly to the top? That’s a good question, and one I can’t give a definitive answer to yet.

I need to get my act together, migrate the expired domains that didn’t take off onto new ones that are stronger from my subjective viewpoint, and continue experimenting.
