Originality.ai is, in my opinion, currently the leader in detecting AI content, including detecting Russian content generated via ChatGPT.
Let’s not argue: I admit AI tools cannot show 100% accuracy and glitches happen, usually if the text is fluff to begin with. So don’t write fluffy text — use different idioms and conversational words that we only say out loud, and there won’t be any issues with this.
I took content that I personally wrote and 2 texts that I generated in Russian, including lists and tables so it wouldn’t be a solid block of text.
Result for my 2 human-written texts (3 test paragraphs) — 100% originality.
Result for 2 ChatGPT-4 AI texts — 100% AI.

- Unfortunately, the service can trigger false positives on fluffy texts. You can test articles from 2015, for example, where there is definitely no AI, and it still flags the text as AI. Out of all the services, this one is currently the best for me, even though it has issues.

- The two main concepts of this process are called:
- Burstiness : predictable length and rhythm of sentence structure.
- Perplexity : randomness of words chosen in a sentence or set of sentences.
- For example, in an essay about the founding of America, it is extremely unlikely that generative AI will include a random, unevenly written anecdote about how they saw a penguin for the first time, so this will likely look like a human writing to a detection tool.
