The advantage of affiliate marketing is that you don’t always need a lot of traffic. A small amount of targeted traffic is enough to get a good ROI and recoup the article’s cost later on.
It’s important to find a topic that nobody has covered yet—to brainstorm an idea or find it in Ahrefs. Step slightly away from what everyone else is doing.
For example, take a keyword like best wordpress hosting. We come up with a keyword without best, such as hosting for elderly people. Hosting for elderly people—just as an example.
Nobody has covered this topic. We take it and write an article on it, even without using the word best, although you could add it too.
The result: we found a super low-volume keyword, wrote an article even without best, and thanks to hyper-relevance—because Google simply had no answer to this question—we ranked in the top positions. Of course, the main requirement is that your domain has at least some authority so the articles can rank at all.
In this example, I found a narrow topic, wrote an article on it, hit Top 1, and earned $30 for a single lead very quickly 🙂
