There was a site called bitcatcha.com—they decided to simply duplicate all their content onto a regional domain, bitcatcha.com.my.

Later a penalty hit in December, but the point is that you can reuse the exact same content if the language in another country is identical, creating localized versions that rank well in that new region. You don’t even need to write new content! Very convenient.
