Actually, out of interest I just checked GoDaddy, where I renew .com for $8.85 thanks to club membership—it shows $28.99 there, an unreal price for .info.
They used to renew for 11-12 dollars usually.
I am convinced once again that all these non-standard TLDs except com, org, net are a lottery. Today you buy one for a few dollars, next year you renew for 10-15 dollars, and then they change some rules, set it at $30, and you have to pay. On the scale of several hundred domains, it turns out to be a noticeable difference.
By the way, I advise everyone to pay for GoDaddy Discount Domain Club if you have a lot of domains in your account—renewals turn out significantly cheaper.
The problem though is that access now costs $239, whereas it used to be $140. You need more domains to cover the costs.
In short, at Reg.ru you can’t just press a «get auth code» button; you have to go through a special form, and if the .info domains have expired, you have to request renewal through a different form and then return to the first one later. Everything is designed so you never leave. But I simply gave up on those PBNs—too much of a hassle.
Good registrars in my opinion are godaddy.com, namecheap.com (looks like they came to their senses eventually), dynadot.com
