I Published 44 Articles on Various Media Sites

My honest experience with high-authority news sites — I published 44 articles across various media sites.

Lately, there’s been a lot of hype in Telegram channels about publishing on news media sites that hijack top rankings in gambling.🤑

Examples are given showing outlookindia.com holding top 1 — like boom, you’re in the top spot.

Naturally, I’ve long seen how top positions in Western markets are snatched by newspapers and media, climbing rapidly to the top. At the end of 2021, I instructed my editor to start publishing articles on media sites as well.

The entire process:

  1. Determine the main topic of the article — primary keyword
  2. Order the article from a copywriter
  3. The copywriter immediately optimizes it using SurferSEO, inserting all necessary keywords to reach a 90+ score. Word count is also tailored to top 10 rankings. Everything is meticulously aligned.
  4. Next, we publish it on our own website with images and offers (correct links)
  5. We copy the article to a high-authority news outlet; since offer placement there is usually clunky or broken, we have to embed offers in images and link back to our site to track clicks.

Here’s my screenshot of stats for publishing 44 articles.

Publishing on high-authority sites over 15 months

GEO: RU
Niche: payday loans
Revenue — $14,685
Costs — $4,373
Net profit — $10,312

After seeing such disappointing financial returns, I thought — well, okay, let’s set this topic aside, I must be doing something wrong. I wasn’t ready to pivot from RU to Western markets, since paying $1k per article requires a completely different resource investment.

Am I the only one? Let’s check the top ranks, for example, for the keyword «pin up» in one GEO — #9 is outlookindia.comhttps://share.cleanshot.com/LRw91JD1

Rank 9, not rank 1.

If you start analyzing specific sites, you’ll discover a sobering truth — some articles shoot up dramatically, while others go absolutely nowhere.

The cost per article can easily reach $1k. It looks like a «make money» button on the surface, but looking closer reveals caveats. Only when you see these nuances rather than blindly following hype can you evaluate the concept realistically.

My takeaway: this tactic won’t work on pure domain authority alone. You might rank for low or medium-competition keywords, but in a fierce battle, you need links.

At the start of the year, I learned about a method to get lots of links cheap, but completely blew it off. I finally need to implement it and see the results. Honestly embarrassed for myself. Authority without links is fine, but #1 for high-volume keywords requires links. That’s my current position, which I’ll prove with facts. Because Google is about links. Always was, is, and will be! Amen.

P.S. Still on my own grind😅 — June 29 is the last operating day for the domain service. Catch it while you can) @maxdomains2bot

Hope this was helpful. Facts and real results without illusions of easy wins.
