Google simply wiped the site from search in May 2020. Everyone was talking about experts, saying expertise was required: E-A-T, YMYL.
I used to think so myself, but now I realize I was wrong. Sure, there are niches where this is relevant and necessary, but it’s not all so black and white.
What Google says in its guidelines is just one point of view. You can listen to it, but you should always have a backup plan, knowing they aren’t telling us everything.
