When I start working with a new affiliate program, even one offering a 10% commission, it’s unknown whether it will convert and generate sales.

EPC = commission / clicks
In this case, it’s indeed a 10% commission, but as you can see, its EPC is excellent. These are 2 months’ stats from the affiliate program.
Clicks on a page don’t usually increase if solid optimization is already done: comparison table at the top, product blocks, pros and cons, making it clearly understandable in just 10–20 seconds why one product is better than another.
However, EPC can vary depending on the affiliate program. If I were driving traffic to Amazon, the earnings per click might be different.
What affects EPC:
- strong brand
- product quality
- product placement in the table; the top 1 product converts much better
- customer confidence that their choice is the best
- brand awareness and media presence: whether they advertise on TV, online, run Google Ads, do retargeting, or not
