I placed 2 test backlinks from my site.
In the screenshot, you can notice a keyword jumping from top 30 straight to #1. This happens extremely rarely. Usually, it jumps from around position 20 into the top 10, and that’s it. This is a unique case where it went straight to #1.
At the same time, I took another keyword and another page from the EXACT SAME SITE—and saw a drop from position 25 to 30. I’ll wait, but sometimes that’s how it goes: one keyword yields positive results while another fails to grow.
On my PBNs, I don’t get negative results these days where placing an anchor link causes a keyword to drop out of the top 50. I haven’t seen that happen in a long time.
That’s why many people are afraid to place lots of backlinks—out of fear of being thrown out of the top rankings entirely.
