Lately, I’ve been inclined to share secret tactics—I don’t really know why. Someone will learn a good lesson from what I’m about to show.
Baseline data: a site crushed by a YMYL penalty.
Hypothesis: move the same articles to authority sites using 301 redirects and canonical tags. Migrate not to a brand-new domain, as in this example (https://t.me/maxaffiliate/338), but to one that ranks in Google and doesn’t have a penalty, ensuring the penalty isn’t passed along later.
Result: after 1–2 months, some pages exploded and reached top 5 positions, even though previously THE EXACT SAME PAGES were hit by the penalty and stuck in top 20. Identical content word-for-word. Example of one page: 5.4k traffic according to Ahrefs. Both 301 redirects and canonicals work.6Kedited 16:58
