I run a public channel, but there are limits I do not cross:
- I don’t disclose my income
- I keep information shared with me privately confidential
Because if someone shares something in private, it means they don’t want it spread. And if I reveal something publicly, trust is lost immediately and communication stops.
These 2 points allow me to be a public persona while maintaining my privacy boundaries.
We all know people who flex their income and show it off. To me, that’s unnecessary. I don’t need social proof to know that I’m doing fine anyway. The clown reactions probably make that clear 🙂
But I’m not 🙊 and I do care about the opinions of people I respect.
